How I started:
I have always been ‘fit’ growing up. I played on the volleyball and tennis teams in high school. I thought I was fit, but I ate like crap. I would go out to eat everyday.(I literally ate taco bell everyday my freshman year in high school). I didn’t gain any weight while in high school, so I thought it was fine. However, after graduating I didn’t workout as much, and ate like crap still. I started to gain lots of weight..
Weighing 191 lbs in January 2016 I decided to become more active. I have always enjoyed running, so I went running every night for a few months. I was running 3-6 miles a night, but I wasn’t seeing the weight fall off. During this time I had only lost 6 lbs weighing 185.
For months I couldn’t get out of the 180’s. I started talking to a friend of mine, who is a Master Trainer, and he gave me some advice and helped me with a meal plan. Now I currently weigh 168 lbs! I am not where I want to be yet, but I will get there. Here is my current progress picture 🙂
The meal plan I was on was strict. I ate the same thing, for each meal, everyday for about a month. I ate tuna fish for lunch everyday and grilled chicken for dinner, after about a month of eating this I could not eat meat. It made me sick thinking about it. It finally got to the point where I would skip dinner because I hated chicken.
Eating healthy is the key for weight loss. I would highly recommend getting a meal plan. If you can’t afford one, I would get Myfitnesspal and track everything you eat. This app will allow you to put in your goals and it will tell you how many calories you should eat each day!
