Hey Guys and Gals! Just thought I’d give you an update on my current weight and goals for myself!
I feel like I have been working on trying to lose weight FOREVER! It has only been 4 months since I got serious and started my weight loss journey!
At the beginning of the year I weighed in at 191lbs and I was 32% Body Fat (Ouch). I started running (I know, hard to believe), and I did this consistently for about 4 months. I would go running almost every night! After a few months, running helped dropped my weight down to 186lbs. I didn’t change any part of my diet while I was running. I though if I just did cardio, I would lose lots of weight. This isn’t true, you have to eat healthy too. I know it sucks right? No more Taco Bell for me *insert sad face*.
Over the summer I started working out with my sister-in-law, McKayla. We would go to the gym Monday-Friday and do some weights and cardio. During this time I didn’t really lose much weight, but I noticed an improvement in my muscle tone, so I know I was at least gaining muscle.
In July we met someone who does nutrition for athletes. I didn’t think much of it, but in August he wrote up a meal plan for my boyfriend, Devin. I always told him how bad it must suck to eat the same thing EVERY SINGLE DAY. As I kept talking crap, one day he told me that I wouldn’t be able to handle being on a meal plan. And that it isn’t for everyone.
Being a girl, I’m sure you can guess what I did next. That night I went over to the nutritionist’s house and paid for a meal plan. I stayed on this for 6 weeks. And this is what jump started my weight loss journey!
When I started the meal plan my weight fluctuated between 186 and 191. After a week, I could already tell a difference. I was super consistent with my meal plan. Even on my anniversary with Devin, I wouldn’t go out to eat.
The 5th and 6th week on my meal plan was definitely the hardest, I would eat small treats just to have a different flavor in my mouth. By the end of my meal plan I believe I weighed 168lbs!
Now I am 163lbs! My current goals are;
- 150lbs before I go to Vegas (March 2017)
- 140lbs before I go to Mexico (May 2017)
My original goal weight when I started my weight loss journey was 150lbs. However; now that I am just shy of 10lbs from my original goal, I think I will still have body fat I will want to get rid of. This is why I have changed it to 140lbs. For my height and weight this is still a healthy weight.
I still can’t believe that 4 months ago I was my heaviest weight! I never thought I would be so close to my goal weight! I’m so excited for the next few months.
