There are all sorts of fitness watches out there, each of them doing different things. I personally decided on purchasing the Polar Watch. My fitness goal is to lose weight, so I need to track my heart rate. I wanted something I could use with all sports like swimming. So I wanted it waterproof. Here are some of the reasons I like it!

Why I like the Polar Watch:
- It connects with ALL workout machines
What?! Yes. It connects with all machines. It’s super nice because while you’re on a machine at the gym the polar watch will automatically sync and show your heart rate on the screen. I love that I don’t have to look down to see my heart rate because it shows up on the screen!
This is also a super nice feature because most machines have a “fat burn” option on the machine. You enter your target heart rate, and it will automatically adjust to keep your heart rate in the fat burn zone! The watch will sync to the machine and give it a more accurate reading.
- It’s Accurate
It’s pretty accurate because it does have a waist band. It isn’t like fit-bits where it’s only a watch. This watch has a waist band that gets a more accurate reading. I don’t go swimming often, but I like that I have that option with this watch. Some watches aren’t waterproof. I like that I can go swimming for cardio, and still be able to wear my watch. This is one of the benefits I like about this watch.
- Great Price
Unlike other watches, this one is affordable. It’s about $45. Fit-bits and other fitness watches are usually over $100. So its easier for people to purchase this watch. I wasn’t able to find this watch in any stores, I ended up purchasing it on Amazon.
What I don’t like about the Polar Watch
Now that I’ve told you what I do like about the polar watch, let me tell you what I don’t like. I can only think of one thing I don’t like about it, so here it is:
- The Waist Band
On the polar they have a waist band that you put on, It connects to the watch. It gives a more accurate heart rate. It’s kinda inconvenient having to put it on. Also, it does get SUPER sweaty. So taking if off is gross.
Honestly, other than that it’s a really good watch. It does what it’s suppose to. I would recommend it to anyone.
If you need something that is accurate, you’ll want a watch that has a waist band like this one. They have lots of different watches out there, I would love to hear what you use and what you like/don’t like about it!
