Things to do in Vegas if you’re under 21

Hey Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I spent my weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada! They had super nice 85 degree weather, coming back to Utah was hard!

As some of you may know, I’m not 21. So what is there to do in Vegas? Las Vegas has LOTS of things you can check out if you’re under 21. They also have some family friendly activities, crazy right? You wouldn’t picture Vegas having activities for kids! I figured I would share with some fun things you can do in Las Vegas, and how to save money in Las Vegas!

  • Exhibit (Bodies, Titanic)
  • Secret Garden in the Mirage
  • Shark Reef Aquarium

How to save Money in Las Vegas

  • Don’t buy drinks on the strip
  • Groupon
  • Pack lunches
  • Take Lyft or Uber instead of taxi
  • Get a hotel that offers free shuttle
  • Certain kiosks offer bundle packages to make it cheaper for you to see the attractions, for instance there was a deal that entailed 3 attractions for $57, which is a super good deal because each attraction is usually $30 or more. A few of the attractions included were the Secret Garden, the Shark Reef Aquarium, Titanic Exhibit, Bodies Exhibit, Theme Park Rides, and quite a few more!

Where to Stay

So I obviously haven’t stayed at EVERY hotel/resort/casino in Las Vegas. I’ve stayed at 3 (That I remember).

If you stay at the Stratosphere you can get a free ride to the observation deck. You can see the entire city. If you’re a dare devil, they also have roller coasters at the top you can ride! Also, the hotel is usually pretty cheap. HOWEVER, the only thing I hated about staying here was it’s so far away from everything! Most of the popular attractions are at the other end of the Vegas strip, and taxi’s are expensive! If you do stay here, you’ll need to get a Lyft or Uber to the other side of the strip. Don’t try and walk. I’ve tried this before and it is miserable. They didn’t offer a free shuttle when I stayed there. You can call and ask before you book the hotel.

For me, this was the best location. It was right next to MGM Grand, which has M&M world, Coca-cola, Hershey’s, etc. The Luxor usually has Exhibit’s you can see. This is nice because you don’t have to leave the hotel. When I went, they had Bodies, and Titanic you could check out. **These are expensive** They also host the Criss Angel magic show. If you like him, you can walk downstairs and see his show!

Tahiti Village Resort:

My sister had a timeshare so we got to stay at Tahiti Village. The resort itself was super nice. It’s very family friendly, they don’t allow smoking inside and they don’t have a casino, it was more clean than most hotels in Vegas. This resort is still on the strip, but it’s further away from the main part of the strip. However, they do offer a free shuttle that will take you. This was nice and saved us a ton of money since we didn’t need to pay for a Taxi. The resort doesn’t have shows or anything like that, but they do have an amazing pool with a lazy river! The rooms are really nice, I would definitely recommend staying here!
